I. General Indications
- The length of texts:
- papers are limited to 60.000 characters (with spaces);
- book reviews are limited to 8.000 characters;
- The articles should be accompanied by a short abstract written in English (maximum 700 characters), and by 5 keywords.
- The font to be used is Times New Roman, size 12. For the greek texts use Palatino Linotype.
- Avoid bold and underlining. For titles emphasizing and underlining use only italics.
- Don’t use manual hyphenation, as this will be processed by our editorial staff.
II. Quotations Marks & Quotations
- Quotations marks will be different, according with the language of text:
- Romanian: simple – „…”; double – „… «…» …”;
- English: simple – “…”; double – “… ‘…’ …”;
- French: simple – « … »; double – « … ‹…› … »;
- German: simple – „…“; double – „… ,…‘ …“.
- All quotations will be within quotations marks.
- If the quotation is less than 3 lines long, it must be given in the text.
- It the quotation is more than 3 lines long, it must be preceded and followed by a blank line.
- Passages/words omitted must be marked by square brackets: [...].
III. Bibliographical References in the Footnotes
1. Common norms
- Bibliographical references must be given only in footnotes, using the INTER style, which is described here.
- Authors are to be quoted without title (e.g. Mr, Dr, RP, etc.).
- Pages and columns follow the format: p. 55, pp. 73-75; col. 890, coll. 890-1034.
- Series and series number will be written after the title, between parentheses, after an equal sign: Radu Preda, Comunismul. O modernitate eșuată (= Theologia socialis 5), Eikon, Cluj-Napoca, 2009.
2. Books
One author
- Single-authored books must be quoted as follows: Francis Rapp, Christentum IV. Zwischen Mittelater und Neuzeit (1378-1552) (= Die Religionen der Menschheit 31), Verlag W. Kohlhammer, Stuttgart, 2006, p. 7.
More authors
- Books by several authors (up to 3 authors) must be quoted as follows: Tomaš Špidlik, Michelina Tenace, Richard Čemus, Questions monastiques en Orient (= Orientalia Christiana Analecta 259), Pontificio Istituto Orientale, Roma, 1999, p. 155.
- Books by more than 3 authors use the model: Radu Carp et. al., În căutarea binelui comun. Pentru o viziune creștină a democrației românești (= Theologia socialis 2), Eikon, Cluj-Napoca, 2008.
Editors
- Edited books must be quoted as follows: Ioan I. Ică jr, Germano Marani (eds.), Gândirea socială a Bisericii. Fundamente – documente – analize – perspective (= Civitas christiana), Deisis, Sibiu, 2002, pp. 100-102.
- Anonimous books must be quoted by editing institution: Pontificio Consiglio della Giustizia e della Pace, Compendio della dottrina sociale della Chiesa, III Edizione, Libreria Editrice Vaticana, Citta del Vaticano, 2004.
3. Book sections
- Articles/papers published in an edited volume must be quoted as follows: Gerhard Robbers, “Europarecht und Kirchen”, in Joseph Listl, Dietrich Pirson (eds.), Handbuch des Staatskirchenrechts der Bundesrepublik Deutschland, Zweite, grundlegend neubearbeitete Aufl age, Erster Band, Duncker & Humblot, Berlin, 1994, pp. 315-332.
4. Journal articles
- Articles published in a journal must be quoted as follows: Hans Christian Knuth, “Christian Responsability in Medicine and Society: the Church and the Health System in the Context of the (Northern) European Social States”, International Review of Mission 376/377 (2006), pp. 78-88.
- Online articles must be quoted as indicated above, to which the web address and the date of the last consultation must be added: Bjørn Ramberg, Kristin Gjesdal, “Hermeneutics”, Stanford Enciclopedia of Philosophy, http://plato.stanford.edu/entries/hermeneutics/, accessed in 2009, August 27.
